The short version

SEO is how people who need you find you

Search engine optimization is the work of making your website the best answer to the searches your customers type. Some of that work is technical: a site that loads fast, can be crawled and is marked up so Google understands it. Some of it is content: pages that explain what you do, where, and why someone should pick you. The rest is reputation, the reviews, mentions and links that tell search engines other people trust you too.

None of it is a trick. The sites that keep their rankings through Google's updates are the ones that genuinely deserve them. Our job is to get you there faster and without wasting money on things that don't matter for your business.

Which type of SEO fits your business?

Most businesses need a mix. This is a rough guide to where the effort should go first.

What an SEO engagement with us includes

  • A proper audit first. Technical health, content, your Google Business Profile, backlinks and the competitors who outrank you.
  • Keyword research based on intent. We care about the searches that lead to a call or a sale, not vanity terms.
  • On-page work. Titles, headings, internal links, schema markup and copy that reads well for people.
  • Technical fixes. We either fix issues ourselves or hand your developer a clear, prioritized list.
  • Content. New service pages, location pages where they're justified, and articles built from your real expertise.
  • Monthly reporting. Rankings, traffic and leads from Google Search Console and analytics, with notes on what we did and why.

What we'll need from you

Good SEO is a team effort. We'll ask for access to your website, Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Business Profile, or help you set them up if they don't exist yet. We'll also ask for about an hour of your time early on to understand your services, your best customers and the questions you hear every week. That conversation is where the most useful content comes from, and it's something no tool can replace.

If your site needs work before SEO can pay off, we'll tell you. Sometimes the best first step is a faster, cleaner website rather than months of optimization on a site that's holding you back.

Questions we get asked

Can you guarantee first-page rankings?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Google doesn't sell rankings and changes its systems constantly. What we can promise is sound work, honest reporting and a clear explanation of what we're doing and why.

How long does SEO take to work?

Quick wins like fixing indexing problems or improving your Google Business Profile can show results within a few weeks. Ranking for competitive terms usually takes four to twelve months, depending on your market and where your site is starting from.

Do you use AI to write content?

We use AI tools for research and first-pass organization, the same way most professionals do. We don't publish mass-produced AI pages. Every page we publish is written or heavily edited by a person, built around your real experience, and checked for accuracy. Google's spam updates have hit sites that cut that corner.

Do I need to sign a long contract?

Contract terms are set out in your written quote, so you'll know exactly what you're agreeing to before any work starts.
