Ecommerce SEO
Ecommerce SEO that turns searches into orders
Shoppers search for products the same way they'd ask in a store. We make sure your categories and products are the pages Google shows them, on Shopify, WooCommerce or whatever you sell on.

Where store SEO goes wrong
The problems we see in almost every online store
Copied product descriptions
The manufacturer's text, word for word, on your site and fifty others. Google has no reason to rank your version over theirs.
Category pages with nothing on them
Categories are usually a store's best chance to rank for shopping searches, but most are just a grid of products with no helpful text, filters or buying guidance.
Filter and variant duplicates
Every colour, size and sort order creating its own URL, so Google wastes time crawling thousands of near-identical pages.
Out-of-stock dead ends
Products deleted or left as dead pages when they sell out, throwing away the rankings and links they had built up.
What we do for your store
- Keyword and category planning. We map how shoppers search, then make sure each important search has one strong page to land on.
- Category page content. Short, useful copy, buying tips and FAQs that help shoppers choose, and help Google understand the page.
- Product page improvements. Unique descriptions for your key products, better titles, image alt text and product schema for rich results.
- Technical clean-up. Canonical tags, faceted navigation, pagination, redirects for discontinued products and site speed.
- Google Merchant Center. Clean product feeds so your products can appear in Google's free shopping listings.
- Buying guides. Articles that answer pre-purchase questions and link to the right categories.

Shopify, WooCommerce and everything else
Every platform has its own quirks. Shopify creates duplicate product URLs through collections and limits how much you can change some technical settings. WooCommerce gives you full control but can get slow fast with too many plugins. We work within the platform you have, and if you're considering a move, our Shopify development team can handle the migration with redirects in place so you keep your rankings.
Planning a redesign or platform switch? Talk to us before launch, not after. A redesign without a redirect plan is one of the most common ways stores lose their organic traffic overnight.
Questions we get asked
Should I write unique descriptions for every product?
For your best-selling and most-searched products, yes. For a large catalogue, we prioritize: unique copy where it matters most, and better-structured templates for the rest.
What should I do with out-of-stock products?
If the product is coming back, keep the page live and say so. If it's gone for good, redirect it to the closest alternative or category so you keep its value.
Does ecommerce SEO replace Google Shopping ads?
No, they work well together. Organic rankings and free listings bring in traffic you don't pay per click for, while ads give you control and speed for key products.
