Local SEO
Local SEO that puts you on the map for nearby customers
When someone searches for your service in your town, you want to be one of the first businesses they see. We work on your Google Business Profile, your website and your local reputation so that happens more often.

Who this is for
Built for businesses that serve a place
Local SEO is for any business whose customers are nearby: trades and home services, clinics, salons, restaurants, law and accounting offices, retailers, auto shops. It also works for service-area businesses that travel to their customers and don't have a public storefront. If someone types "near me", or your service plus a town name, local SEO decides whether you show up.
Three places local customers look
The map results
The block of three businesses with a map, shown above the regular results for most local searches. This is driven mainly by your Google Business Profile, your reviews and how close you are to the searcher.
The regular results
The blue links below the map. These come from your website: your service pages, location pages and how well they match the search.
AI answers
Google's AI Overviews and assistants like ChatGPT increasingly recommend local businesses directly. They lean on the same signals: consistent details, good reviews and clear website content. More on that in our AI search optimization service.
What we work on
Your Google Business Profile
We clean up your categories, services, hours, service areas, photos and description, and set up a simple routine for posts and Q&A. For service-area businesses, we make sure your address is hidden correctly and your service areas match where you actually work.
Consistent business details everywhere
Your name, address and phone number need to match across your website, Google, Apple Maps, Bing, Yelp, Facebook and Canadian directories. Mismatches confuse search engines and customers. We audit, fix and fill in the gaps.
Reviews, done properly
We help you ask real customers for reviews at the right moment and reply to them well. We don't buy reviews, write fake ones or filter out unhappy customers before they reach Google. All of that breaks Google's rules and can get a profile suspended.

Location pages without the spam
If you serve several towns, a page for each can help. But copying one page twenty times and swapping the town name is exactly the kind of thing Google calls doorway pages, and its spam systems are good at spotting them. We only build a location page when there's something real to say: the jobs you've done there, the specific services you offer, how far you travel, details only a local would know.
For many businesses, one strong service page plus a well-run Google Business Profile beats a stack of thin town pages. We'll tell you which approach fits.
Running a service-area business from home? You can still rank in the map results without showing your address. It takes a correctly set-up profile, clear service-area content on your site and steady reviews. It's one of the most common setups we work with.

Questions we get asked
How long does it take to show up in Google Maps?
If your profile has problems like wrong categories or inconsistent details, fixing them can make a difference within a few weeks. Moving up against established competitors in a busy area usually takes a few months of steady work on reviews, content and links.
Can I rank in towns where I don't have an office?
In the regular results, yes, with genuinely useful content about the work you do there. In the map results it's harder, because Google weighs how close a business is to the person searching. We'll be honest about what's realistic for each area.
I don't want my home address on Google. Is that a problem?
No. Service-area businesses can hide their address and list the areas they serve instead. We set this up correctly so it doesn't hurt your visibility.
Do you manage reviews for us?
We set up an easy way for you to ask customers for reviews and can draft replies for you to approve. We never post reviews on your behalf or offer customers incentives for them.
