UI/UX design

Design that makes it easy to say yes

We design websites and web apps around what your visitors need to see, understand and do, so more of the people who find you actually get in touch.

Why design matters for SEO

Ranking gets people to your site. Design decides what they do next.

We see it all the time: a business ranks well, gets steady traffic, and still hardly gets any enquiries. The page is slow, the phone number is hard to find, the menu doesn't work on a phone, or the contact form asks for twelve things. Visitors leave and call someone else.

Good UI and UX design fixes that. UX, user experience, is about how easy it is to understand and use your site. UI, user interface, is how it looks and feels. Done well, both are almost invisible. People find what they need and take the next step without thinking about it.

Problems we fix most often

No clear next step

Pages that explain a service but never tell the visitor how to book, call or ask for a quote.

Built for desktop, used on mobile

Most visitors are on phones, but many sites are still designed on a big screen first. Tap targets are tiny and text is cramped.

Too much at once

Busy home pages trying to say everything, so nothing stands out.

Forms that put people off

Long, confusing forms that ask for information you don't need at the first contact.

Our design process

  1. Research

We look at your analytics, watch how people move through your current site and talk to you about your customers' questions and objections.

  2. Wireframes

Simple layouts that settle what goes where before colour and style come in.

  3. Visual design

Your brand applied with care: type, colour, imagery and spacing that make the site feel like yours.

  4. Prototype and test

Clickable designs you can try on your phone, so we catch problems before they're built.

  5. Hand-off and build

We build it ourselves through our web development team, or give your developer clean, documented designs.

Accessible by default

We design toward WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines: readable colour contrast, text that resizes cleanly, clear focus states for keyboard users and proper labels for screen readers. It's the right thing to do, it widens your audience, and in Ontario the AODA sets accessibility requirements for many organizations' websites.

Questions we get asked

Do I need a full redesign to improve UX?

Not always. Sometimes a handful of focused changes, like a clearer call to action, a simpler form or a better mobile menu, make a noticeable difference.

Can you design something my developer will build?

Yes. We provide organized design files, specs and notes on behaviour so your developer has what they need.

Do you design web apps as well as websites?

Yes. Dashboards, portals and tools need even more careful UX, because people use them every day.
